Management

Falcon’s management has established itself as one of the most dynamic young teams in the country and brings to the table first class academic and professional experience which has helped ensure the continued growth of the company. All of the management team has had significant field experience with a major international logging company and they have channeled that expertise into making Falcon a unique proposition within the region.

The management team is as follows

Zahran Al Aufi – Manging Director

Zahran studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He graduated in 1997 and joined Schlumberger as a Logging Engineer. Postings included Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and China. In 2002 Zahran left Schlumberger to establish Falcon. He initially took the duties of Operations Manager based in Nizwa before moving to Muscat to take his current position of Managing Director and leader of Falcon.

Mohammed Al Barashdi – Chief Operating Officer

Mohammed graduated from Sultan Qaboos University (Oman) with BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2001. He joined Schlumberger shortly afterwards in 2002 for over 14 years. His positions held within Schlumberger include several field positions, HR role, and multiple managerial assignments in USA, Qatar, Thailand, Malaysia, UAE and Oman. He took on the role of Chief Operating Officer with Falcon in 2016.

Fouad Ibrahim – Technical Director

Fouad earned a B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering in at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. He then joined Schlumberger where he worked as a Logging Engineer in a number of locations before moving into field management. He left SLB in 2002 to establish Falcon. As the company grew, Fouad held a number of technical and operations management positions. Towards the end of 2009 he became the Technical Director of the company charged with directing Falcon’s equipment and technology strategy.

Sulaiman Al Ghashim – Operations Director

Sulaiman graduated from King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990. He then started his career in logging with Schlumberger with postings in Qatar, Egypt and Saudi, in roles across operations, operations management, IT and HR.  Sulaiman joined Falcon early in 2008 where he first led the quality and training department and then moved backto operations as Operations Director.

Abduljaleel Almaaini – Operations Support Director

Abduljaleel graduated with a BSc degree in Computer Engineering in 2000 from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. He joined Schlumberger as Logging Engineer supporting operations in Pakistan, Iran and Oman. In 2004 he briefly joined the Oman Gas Company as a Projects and Planning Engineer before joining the Falcon team in sales and client support. He is currently overseeing Falcon’s support functions including HR, Finance and Logistics along with Sales.

Aamer Iqbal – Business Development Director

Aamer was awarded a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in 1987 from the Ahmad Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and he joined Schlumberger shortly afterwards in 1988. Starting from the UK side of the North Sea his career spanned several countries that include Italy, Nigeria, his native Pakistan and Egypt in roles across field operations, training & development and operations management. After leaving Schlumberger, he joined Camco Libya where he was instrumental in developing the company from it’s humble slickline services into a full multi-productline provider with services that included Cased hole and later on Open hole logging, Surface and Downhole Well Testing and Perforating. He took on the role of Business Development Director with Falcon in mid 2014 to serve as a pivotal anchor towards it’s fast paced drive for growth.

Khalid Al. Qassabi – Financial Controller

Khalid graduated from University of Leeds Business School in United Kingdom with BA in Accounting and Finance in June 2006. His professional career begun shortly afterwards upon joining PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC Oman as an external auditor. He left to join Schlumberger where he worked for over 9 years. He excelled in his job and progressively moved up into different positions; namely: Financial Analyst, Finance Manager and Operations Controller. In 2017, he briefly joined Occidental Mukhazina as Cost-Lead before joining Falcon Oilfield Services team in August 2017 as the Financial Controller.
